HOW DO YOU MAKE A CHILD WELFARE REFERRAL?

We will work with you to develop a referral form that meets your specific assessment requirements, this form is then completed and submitted to the Assessments Australia Child Welfare Team for any referrals.

This form supplies Assessments Australia with the client details, the assessment location and assessment delivery timings, including the specific types of assessments required.

Completed forms may be returned via post, fax, or email to Assessments Australia on [email protected].

If you are unsure about what you need, Assessments Australia can advise you of the type of assessment required, working with you to design an assessment solution that meets your immediate needs.

WHAT ARE THE STEPS AFTER SUBMITTING A REFERRAL?

Assessments Australia will allocate the referral to a suitable assessor within 1 business day of receipt. The assessor will then contact the caseworker and the assessment participant to arrange an appointment within the agreed time-frames. As each assessment and agency is unique the time-frames are established on a project specific basis.

WHEN CAN YOU EXPECT YOUR COMPLETED REPORT?

Each assessment is unique, with differing time agreements with different agencies. A typical turnaround time from the time of the participant interview is 3-4 weeks. When there are complex issues to be resolved, Assessments Australia will work with you to optimise your time frame, working to accommodate specific requirements of your assessment’s needs. When there is a critical time frame such as a court date, please ring our office and we can activate a special time-frame to meet your needs.

HOW DO YOU RECEIVE YOUR REPORT?

Each Assessments Australia report is securely emailed to the referring case worker, as a PDF.

WHO CONDUCTS YOUR ASSESSMENT?

Your Assessments Australia team includes a number of highly qualified Psychologists and Social Workers who are experienced in conducting comprehensive out of home care assessments, together with assured and accountable assessment professionals overseen by a National Professional Services Manager and Domain Specialist.

HOW DO YOU KEEP TRACK OF YOUR REFERRALS?
WHAT IS THE ASSESSMENTS PROCESS?

Assessments Australia’s assessors typically travel to the residence of the participant to conduct a face to face interview. This forms the basis of a formal report making recommendations to the referring case worker. Before the report is released it is subjected to an Assessments Australia formal peer review process ensuring consistent, professional results and an assured level of quality.
