Assessing with Us

Who is Assessments Australia?

Assessments Australia is an assessment and consulting services company specialising in the allied health environment, typically in the area of disability and education, calling on the skill sets of psychologists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, rehabilitation specialists and other similar Allied Health Professionals.

We perform assessment services for federal and state governments throughout Australia, providing fully scalable resources to meet a variety of assessment projects. Usually projects are large scale and are often across multiple locations for the same project under a constrained time frame. They may range between hundreds to many thousand assessments. Over the last year we have performed over 10,000 assessments for state governments in Victoria and NSW.

Why does Assessments Australia want me?

The nature of the projects that we manage frequently requires large numbers of assessments to be carried out in a short time, while still ensuring high quality, consistency, accuracy and sensitivity for both the client assessed and the agency requesting the assessments.

To meet these varying demands we manage a team of Allied Health Professionals who are available on an “as needed/as available” basis. The increasing demand by governments for quality, independent assessment services means that we are growing our team of qualified Allied Health Professionals to allow us to respond rapidly to new projects.

How does it work?

The assessment process itself is a clearly defined self-contained task. Assuming your background, experience and qualifications are appropriate, we train you (where appropriate) in the assessment and the background to the project, as well as the logistics for the assessment administration and delivery. We work in with you to arrange appropriate times and locations for you to perform the assessments.

The assessment process is subject to Quality Assurance guidelines and peer review activities to ensure consistency and continuous improvement.  Ongoing assessment enhancement activities and training sessions form part of our commitment to best practice assessment outcomes.

Some assessments may require post-assessment report writing, client follow up, or consultation, depending upon the specifications of the project brief. In such cases we provide you with full support to enable your delivery of the specific requirements.

This makes the task of assessing with Assessments Australia well suited for many Allied Health Professionals seeking self-contained work to fit in with their current professional commitments.

We maintain your details and capabilities in our On Line Management system and as additional projects arise, we contact you to determine your availability for further assessment work. In each instance again we brief you on the project background and the assessment requirements.
