Options Program

Status: Ongoing

Disability Services SA's “Options Program" uses the Support Needs Assessment to facilitate the transition of young adults into appropriate adult day placements. The assessment is used to provide both a benchmark framework for placing descriptive and qualitative assessments into a state-wide context, as well as an indication of the resources required on a regional basis to ensure the distribution of funds is equitable and contained within the available budget.

Disability Services SA has metropolitan and country regional teams operating in locations across the State. Within each region, staff have been trained to conduct the Support Needs Assessment.
