Andrew Haynes has a Bachelor of Commerce degree and has recently completed a Master of Professional Accounting (MPA)
Andrew has a strong history in public administration and business development for high level government organisations.
Prior to his appointment in October this year as Assessments Australia’s Business Development Manager, Eastern Region, Andrew held the same title from June 2003 with New South Wales Tourism, Sport and Recreation – Commercial Services.
The position was created to turn around the financial performance of a number of commercial products through active business development and implementation of marketing strategies.
He managed the formation of the Business Development Unit and oversaw a significant improvement in revenue streams across core products, in addition to significant new product development.
He was responsible for the management of all marketing and business development activities across NSW, beginning with the formation and management of the Business Development Unit.
Other responsibilities covered development and management of the marketing budget, all advertising and promotion, product pricing strategy and primary and secondary market research.
The role also incorporated inbound/outbound sponsorship, events management, media and public relations, and sourcing and procurement of merchandise.
From January 2000 to June 2003 Andrew worked as a contractor to the Department of Public Works and Services, now Department of Commerce and subsequently worked as a Business Development Manager, Southern Region. He was initially contracted to develop a Corporate Marketing Plan on behalf of a diverse range of companies including the Project Management Group, Q Stores, CM Solutions and Asset and Environmental Services (AES).
Andrew has a high level of expertise in working with Government systems including financial systems and management information systems. He also has a very detailed understanding of the NSW government regulatory framework.
